This past week marked the beginning of our last quarter in 6th grade! Wow!
Thanks for your support and prayers.
Here is what is in store for the upcoming week….
Language Arts:
- We finished The Hobbit, our last “class” novel. We will continue working on our Hobbit essays this week. Our plan is to take things step-by-step to best understand how to write a well-organized essay. We will complete a daily grammar for the remainder of the year as well. After spring break will read a book of choice then move to Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in late April. We will plan to present MSND just before school is out.
- Grammar/Essay help on Tuesday morning at 7:45 a.m.
- History: We will be having a quiz covering Baby Boomers (hooray for the Boomers😊) through Treasury Notes on Tuesday. Also, students will need to prepare for Map Quiz 3 on Friday.
Math:
- We will complete Lessons 92 – 95 this week and plan to take our next test on Friday over Lessons 1-90. A review will be coming home on Thursday. Students are invited to come for the Thursday help session in Mr. Hudson’s classroom.
Science:
- We will wrap up our study of the weather (Ch. 20) and the atmosphere (Ch. 19). Our test over this material will be on Thursday. Also, students should be checking weather.com each day to record weather data for their chosen city. The data collection sheet will be turned in on Thursday, March 21.
